This week has been a busy one. Michael's Work, Precision Concrete Cutting, had their Franchise Retreat this week.

At the end of the week a few of them went up into the high Uinta's and got to go snow cat skiing.

We all got to go to dinner. Even me, the wifey.

And these are a few shots of their meetings. Long week, but a good week. It is always good to see those people that I hear about all the time.

Dance Recital

Our Niece's, Skylar and Nevada had a dance recital at the Little Gym last week. Skylar takes a little tumbling class and Nev takes a Ballet, Tap, Bar, and Beam class. They love going to their classes and were so excited to show us their moves.

Jazz vs. Hawks

Michael and I went to the Jazz game last night. Mike's work has 9th row season tickets and we got to take two of them last night. We went to dinner at Ruth's Cris and then we headed over to the game. It is amazing how much more fun it is when you are so close like that. You feel like you are a part of it. Even though it was a crappy game and the Jazz totally sucked it up... we still had lots of fun.

Nevada turned 5!

Nevada celebrated her 5th birthday today. She celebrated it with hamburgers and french fries and cake and ice cream! All by her request. She got the Barbie Winnebago and was pretty stoked on it. She is growing up so fast!

Merry Christmas to all!

We had an awesome Christmas this year. It, as always, was full of busy days leading up to it but always brings such joy and happiness. Michael and I got each other new Snow Boards and Boarding gear this year. We were lucky enough to get a Pro Form from Steve this year so we got a lot of stuff for pretty cheap. Michael is also taking a trip to Alaska to go Heli Skiing with the guys from work in March, so he needed a powder board to go do that. So I told him, if he gets a new board... so do I! And that's that. We always spend Christmas Eve up at my parents house. Michael, my Dad and I went up boarding during the day on Christmas Eve and then went to my parents and had dinner and played games and did our gift exchange amongst the children. Christmas morning we went over to Mike's parents and did breakfast and the Duke's came over as well. Then we went and visited grandparents and ended the day with my family.

Sorry peeps! I totally have sucked it up at posting lately. Just to do a little catch up... Our Thanksgiving was great! We try to alternate every other year between families since both of ours are so close. This year we ate with my family, at my parents house in Highland. We ate and then went and saw the latest Harry Potter. Michael loves Harry Potter. He was pretty stoked to see it. We actually saw it the week before as well with Michael's mom and Kristen and Nevada. So we got to see it twice, and it was just as good the second time. After the movie we headed over to The Lamb's house to hang out and eat dessert. It was a nice Thanksgiving. I also got the entire weekend off, so I was pretty stoked.

School is going well for Michael. He had a pretty heavy load this semester and is just trying to finish up finals right now. He will have another heavy load next semester and will then finish up in the fall semester with just one more class and his capstone. And FINITE! So stoked dude!

This last weekend was my 23rd birthday. I got the weekend off and Michael and I just kind of hung out all day Saturday and then we went to The Happy Sumo for dinner on Saturday night with my family. Sunday, which was my actual birthday, Michael and I decided that we were not going to go teach primary and we were going to go snow boarding. So we did, we went up to Canyons and spent the day in the snow. It was an awesome day for boarding. Mike got a season pass up there this year so he will be up there a lot and I was lucky enough to get hooked up with a free day pass by Steve. Later that day we went and ate dinner over at the Lamb's house and had cake and ice cream and opened presents. We celebrated Mr. Maddox's birthday as well on Sunday because the poor little guys birthday is on Christmas. So, we just decided Maddox and I would combine birthdays since we both got the shaft.

Our friends, Steph and Justin Olsen, had a Halloween Party at their house on Friday. It was a fun night. It is not very often that we all get together to see each other so it was way fun to catch up with everyone. We had yummy halloween treats and the boys rode out on the jumps in the back yard and played rock band. Super fun night! Thank you Olsen's!

Smoke Detector

Last night, Michael, Scout, and I are sound asleep in our bed and all of a sudden the smoke detector in the hallway goes off. It was 2:00 am and those things are fetching loud! Woke us all right up, Scout is barking, Mike is running around trying to figure out what to do, and I am just sitting there thinking we are dying. Can someone please answer me this.... Why in the crap do those stupid things only go off in the night!? Even if it just beeps because it needs the battery changed, it starts in the middle of the damn night. Holy Crap! Needless to say, it was a long night after that.

Labor Day Weekend

Finally we got a weekend off together! For Labor Day weekend we went camping with our friends Zack and Christi. We went up AF canyon up high by Mineral Basin. We found the most perfect camping spot right by the river. We hung out, went on a hike and cooked yummy food! It was so nice and relaxing and Scout was in heaven. He was freezing cold the entire time but he loved exploring.

Mike started back to school last week. In a desperate attempt to finish up he last few credits, Mike is taking 17 credits this semester. That's a lot! So if he seems non existent over the next few months... that would be why. He will hopefully have just one more semester after this and then we can say goodbye to school. Forever. Hopefully.

marked the day of my very first event. I have had so many people telling me that I need to start selling all of my creations. So, finally I just went for it. Michael and I went to Craft Lake City last year, just for fun, and thought it was so cool. So, I looked into it and decided that if I was going to do an event, this would be the one to do for my first time. I sold purses, headbands, flower hair clips, and broaches. It was such a fun day. We were right in the middle of everything and had a clear view of all of the great bands that played. It was so fun to get to talk to all of the artists around us. So many cool people. I got lots of positive feedback from my products and we didn't do too bad either. And let me just say, thank you to Mike. He is such an awesome husband. He came up there with me, helped me unload, set up, and sat there with me for 10 hours! Isn't he amazing!? I had lost of support from family and friends. Thank you all so much for coming up!

We went up American Fork Canyon with the Duke's and Shaun and Diane. We all made tinfoil dinners before and brought them up and cooked them in a fire. Thanks to Shaun. He some how always gets the task of fire maker and cooker. He is just so great at it! Or he is just the Dad. We had an awesome evening though. Diane brought up her dutch oven and made a cake for everyone. It was so yummy! She made it out of fresh berries from their garden. The park ranger came around and gave the little girls a little ranger book. They were loving it. Those two little girls are so adventurous. Nev had a few spills but she is a tough cookie.

Seven Peaks

Yesterday we went to Seven Peaks with the Duke family. We had so much fun. The girls loved the Tube Run and the Flash Flood Slides. We tried the Cave In and neither of them really appreciated that very much. It was an awesome day, full of chasing kids from pool to pool and slides and lots of sun.

This was Skylar by the end of the day, so tired.

Bear Lake

This past weekend we went to Bear Lake. We go every summer with my family. This year Michael and I just went up for one night. We had to take little Scout with us because he is too little to leave home just yet. Pets are not allowed at the resort we stayed at so we didn't really feel too comfortable staying for very long. We had an awesome time though. We left early Saturday morning, arrived in Bear Lake around 10 am and left Sunday evening after dinner. Michael's boss was nice enough to let us take his boat up there for the weekend, so that is what we did all day Saturday. We did a lot of tubing, and a little wake boarding. Sunday we just hung out on the beach all morning and then we went swimming and just had a relaxing day. Bear Lake always makes for a good time.

West Water

This last weekend we went down West Water. We went with Aaron again and a lot of other people. My dad, Tanner, Mike, and I went. We all had so much fun. Mike has done this stretch of river before, but it was the first time for the rest of us. West Water is just a one day trip. We went down Friday night and camped at the put in and got up early and went down the river. We got off around 4:00 pm. It is right down near Moab. This stretch of river is awesome because all of the big rapids are pretty much right together. You have a while of pretty chill water and then a good hour of just rapid after rapid. It was such a blast.

Mike and I in a cave. This cave is about half way down the river. I guess some robbers that robbed a bank in Green River hid out here back in the 60's. It is way cool cause a lot of their stuff is still in there. There are two beds set up and a table with lots of stuff on it and a fire place.

This is Scout! Scout is a Yorkie. We just got him last Friday from a lady in Alpine that breeds Yorkies. He is so chill but so fun. So full of life. We love having little Scout around.

Ladore Canyon River Trip

We went on a river trip this last weekend to Ladore Canyon. The Green River flows through Ladore Canyon and it is beautiful. We put in near Vernal. It took us four days. We had such a blast. We went through some crazy rapids. Lots of rocks through this canyon. The first big rapid was Disaster Falls. Michael and I were in a ducky. (a ducky is a two person inflatable raft) We started out and almost made it through upper Disaster Falls. Mike fell out when we turned side ways in a hole and got washed out. He quickly tried to redeem himself and got right back in the boat when we were spun backwards by the current. We were quickly coming to a big boulder in the water where the water hits and makes a large hole after. We came to the rock and quickly found that there was another ducky with Jeremy in it in the hole. We all panicked as we collided with one another and Michael and I were thrown out. I was quickly spit out from the hole and washed down the rest of lower Disaster Falls hitting every rock on my way down. Mike washed in the hole for a few seconds and was spit out just after me. Scary, but seriously so fun! It was good to get spit out and have this traumatic experience to boost your confidence in these scary rapids. It just showed me, going into this so nervously, that I could do it and be fine. This was the only time we fell out. The next day we went down Triplet Falls and Hell's Half Mile. So much fun! If you ever get an invite to do anything like this, do it! It was my first trip and I absolutely loved it! I really look forward to many more to come. We had such good company and made great new friends.

Craft Lake City

It is official. I have just been accepted to be a vendor in Craft Lake City. Craft Lake City is, basically, a craft fair in Salt Lake at the Gallivan Center. Everything has to be handmade. We have been out of town for the last 5 days and I got home and checked my email and I had my acceptance waiting for me! I am super excited about it! I will be selling purses and headbands. You will all have to come check out this awesome event. It is so much fun. They have live music all day too. It will be August 14th from 2-9 pm.

Happy Birthday Mike!

Michael turned 28 on June 24th. We had a bbq at the house. Cooked up some burgers and hot dogs and just hung out. The little ones swam and did bubbles and ate pudding. It was so fun to just sit and hang out with all of our friends and family. Thanks to everyone that came and wished Michael a happy birthday.

I got a new bike last week. So excited! I have been riding a 1980's nishiki road bike that Michael found in the dumpster at work and fixed up for me to ride. He did it just to kinda see if I would like it and if he did buy me one, if I would actually ride it. I rode it tons, so finally we got me a nice one. It is a Cannondale Synapse. It is so sweet! I freaking love it. It is amazing how much better and easier it is riding a new, nice bike, compared to that old pile I was riding before. We got me shoes and pedals and a helmet and cool little spandex. I am totally legit now! So stoked on the new bike!

marked our 2nd anniversary. Can you believe it!? I sure can't. It has been such an amazing two years. It has flown by. This year was certainly easier than the first. Let us go back to year one.... cute lime green element totaled, shattered heel. Nightmares, still. This year was awesome. We took a few trips and bought a freaking sweet house! Which you all still need to come see! I feel like I get to know Michael better everyday. I love the guy. Saturday we went and got massages at the Tranquility Spa in Salt Lake and then we went to dinner at Flemmings at the Gateway. Our massages were amazing! Dinner was absolutely fabulous! Mike went there for a work dinner a few weeks ago and loved it so we decided we would go together. I got the BBQ salmon and Mike got the petite sirloin. Best Salmon I have ever had. Really! I ate the entire thing and that is really saying something. If you are ever at the Gateway and want a great meal, go to Flemings. It is a little pricey but for sure worth it. We had a great Anniversary and look forward to many more to come.

I am so super behind! A few weeks ago was Michael's dad's birthday. Shaun. We had a bbq and had cake and ice cream. Kristen's kids freaking love birthday's. It is the best. They get so excited to eat cake and sing happy birthday. They are usually way way more excited about it then the person who's birthday it is and I love it! Those little kids make me smile! Skylar got cake everywhere. She had it all over her. We tried to clean it off of her and then decided it wasn't even worth it. We ended up just throwing her in the tub. And little Maddox. He is the most precious kid. I haven't made a post about him since he was born. Just scroll on down and take a look at how cute that little boy is. He loves his mom. He has to be attached to her at all times. Poor Kristen has tired every out and has resulted in tying him to her back because that is the only way he is happy. He is the most smiley baby you will ever meet. He is always grinning. He wants so bad to crawl and be in everything. He is only 5 months old and he is already so interested in food. He is adorable. All in all I believe papa had a happy birthday. I know we all had a fun evening.

Okay really!? snow!? It is the end of MAY! I can't even handle this! I heard it raining this morning and then I get out of my bed and walk out to my kitchen to find snow! snow on the ground! And it is still snowing! WOW! I thought it would slow down but guess what... here we are, two hours later, still snowing! I just went outside and covered our vegetables. Why? I don't know they are going to die anyways. Maybe I am just clinging to the miracle that they might survive and all of our hard work didn't go to waste. That is a far off dream though. GEEZ! I may rip all of my hair out.

I just had to post this picture cause it is so dang cute! The other night Michael and I had the opportunity to take Skylar to her Little Gym class. She is so funny. She is totally that kid who just wants to run around and play with the other kids and do her own thing than pay attention to the teacher. (really what 2 year old do you expect to pay attention?... beats me) We had a lot of fun watching her play. Every once in a while when the teacher would do something that actually deserved Skylar's attention she would run over and participate but other than that she just had fun, which is what it is all about right!? But anyways, I took this picture while we were driving to her class. Every time we would turn a certain direction the sun would get in her eyes and she would gets so mad. Like literally she would start screaming at the top of her lungs! So I gave her my sunglasses and I knew she would love them cause they were pink. She was so funny with them. It was the greatest thing ever that she got to wear mimi's glasses.

The kitchen is finally done! We love it! It took forever!!! But it was well worth it. This week we went and got new lights and that was our final task. You will all have to come see it. It looks awesome! The big green wall really needs something on it but I just haven't gotten around to that yet.

Yesterday, yes on Easter Sunday, we went snowboarding. We gotta take the trip when we get the opportunity. It just seemed like the perfect day to go. So we did, and it was awesome! Probably the best snow day of our lives. There was so much powder. It was amazing! Like floating on a cloud.

This morning started out to be just like every other morning, I woke up and walked out to the kitchen for my breakfast. I greatly look forward to breakfast in the morning, I am always starving when I wake up from a good nights rest. I walked out into our kitchen and I was startled by some scratching noises. I just figured it had to be a mouse so I text my wonderful husband and told him we had a mouse in the house. I continued about my morning and ate my breakfast and took a shower. Once I got out of the shower I, once again, was startled by more scratching noises, only this time it was accompanied by some squeeking. This is when I, once again, text my husband and told him it was not a mouse it was a raccoon in the dryer vent. He replyed to my text and said "are you sure?? I bet it is a bird. you should go outside and see if you can see anything in the vent" But no it sure sounded like a raccoon. I quickly got ready and went outside. Now I was certain that I was going to walk around to the side of my house and would find a stripped raccoon tail swinging from the wall. I quickly called my husband as I walked outside and there was nothing. I could not see a thing. I was so disturbed. And then out flies a big black bird. I started jumping up and down and screaming like a little girl. Not one of my finer moments. My husband was just hysterical with laughter on the other end of the phone. He then said to me, "go inside and get a broom and hit the vent so it will come out." Oh no!! not a chance Whitney is going anywhere near that vent! That thing was loud! and i mean loud when it was in that vent. It sounded like an aviary when that thing was in the vent. You could hear it through the entire house. I had to go outside cause I could not handle listening to it in the house. So of course, him being the wonderful man that he his, my husband came to my rescue. He came home and got the bird out and fixed the vent so that it would not happen any more. My hero! The bird was flying in and out of the vent building it's nest so it could lay it's eggs in there. What a morning!

We took a little trip down to St George over the weekend. It was nice to get a little break from tiling and painting bathrooms. We mostly just hung out and relaxed. My family was down there for Tanner's baseball tournament but by the time we got down there it was over. Kenzy and my Dad ran a marathon. They did 7 miles in like 50 minutes! They are amazing! Saturday we went hiking on the red rocks and had a blast!

Welcome to the Lamb Home!

This is our front room. We have accumulated a little more furniture since we moved in. All we had was one little love seat and a chair.

Here we are in the kitchen. And to the right is the laundry room and entry from the garage.

To the left is the main bathroom. Center is the hallway. To the right is the master bedroom.

This is the master bath. It is currently under construction but I really wanted to do before and after pics on everything so here is our before. To the right is the stairs to our basement.

Here is our basement. We got a couch and let me just tell you it was a very daunting task getting that stupid thing into that basement.

We love our new house! It is so much fun. It will all look so different once we are done but we are having a blast with it so far. We have big plans. I will update a before and after as we go from room to room updating. So far we have just gotten furniture and shiny new black appliances. We took on a lot more room than we need but eventually (key word being eventually) we do plan on having children. And truthfully after going through this whole process with signing our lives away... I kinda never want to move again. We have three bathrooms and five bedrooms. Lots for just the two of us. But I can't even explain how much nicer it is to have your own. I am sure all of you have gone through the process know exactly how we feel.

PCC Yurt Trip

Last weekend the boys from PCC went up to the Yurt in the Uintas and played. They went up Friday and played all evening and all night and slept in the yurt then they woke up and played some more on the snowmobiles and skis and boards and then they came home. Mike had a blast.

Welcome to the world! The Duke's finally had a precious baby boy! We could not be more excited about it for them! Steve is so excited! We are super stoked to have a new Nephew! He is so tiny! He weighed 6 lbs/ 15 oz and was 19 inches long. Cutest dang little boy I have ever seen. The girls were so excited to see him. It was so fun. We officially have a Christmas baby. Chritmas!

Christmas Morning we went to Michael's Parents house and ate breakfast with all of the family. We got to spend time with our neices and our cute little nephew. We don't get to see him very often so it was fun. Then we went to Mike's Grandma Evans house and hung out there for a while and then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Lamb's house and visited with them for a while and then we went and hung out with my family and played games and stuff. It was a busy but fun day. It was so great to get to see so much family.

Saturday was my birthday. Big 22! ha ha Finally got a birthday when Mike could be home all day. It was nice. We went to breakfast with my family in the morning and then we just had a relaxing afternoon with each other and then we went to dinner at Texas Road House with my family that night and watched Christmas movies. It was a good day. Mike got me a Cuisinart Bread Maker and some Von Zipper sunglasses and my family got me some cute new clothes and boots and Michael's family got me a new purse sewing book and a gift card to Joanns! Thank you everyone for making it such a great day!

We got our tree up! Mike went and picked one out and surprised me with it Monday night and I got to spend the next day getting our house ready for Christmas! I love Christmas! Last night we got to go to a dinner/ auction at La Caille. Mike's work was involved in it. It was a fundraiser for Boy Scouts of America and the PTA. They had a silent auction and a live auction and then they had dinner and dessert. We had a lot of fun. We got to get all dressed up since it was a black tie event. Mike wore a tux and I got to wear a pretty dress. Mike's boss Aaron had a friend come take pictures of all of us in their back yard so once I get some pics I will post them.

We went to an Art Show in Salt Lake with the Dukes last week. We walked through quite quickly and then found this table in the back room and we sat back in the back for the rest of the time and played. ha ha while Papa Steve associated with all of his friends. Dinosaur Museum

Last week I got to go to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point with Nevada and Skylar. It was so fun. I don't think they quite understood the whole point but they still had fun. They loved playing in the sand with the dinosaurs. Skylar is so funny, you walk around and she is constantly stopping to look around. She has to get it all in. She would stop and look up and go "wow" to all of the big dinosaurs and stuff hanging from the ceiling. She does this everywhere they go.

On Saturday Michael and I went to Lagoon with Zach a Christi and Nate and Maren. We had a blast! Sorry no pics with Nate and Maren. They had to leave early to get their precious baby Vanna. It was a fun day. Lagoon does this every year. They have most of the rides open, all but the water ones.... since it was freezing! And then they have 3 different Haunted Houses that you can go through and a little trick or treat walk through for the little ones. We try to go every year. This year my family went to Disney Land and Universal Studios for their Halloween Celebrations so we did it on our own this year. It was tons of fun!

Katie and Bo's Wedding

Saturday was Katie's wedding. (Michael's cousin) She married Bo Nagahi. The wedding was at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake. We got to go to the ceremony and then they had a cocktail hour and a big dinner. I cannot say that I have ever been to a wedding like this but it was fun. There were tons of people there. It was gorgeous. They did a really good job. The wedding was beautiful. Congratulations Katie and Bo!

All of the leaves are changing so we decided to go for a little hike while we were up the canyon. This is my favorite time of year. When all of the leaves change, the mountains look like they are on fire. So beautiful.

Mountain Biking

I had the day off Saturday so Michael and I decided to go Mountain Biking. We went up to AF Canyon and rode the Salamander Trail. We had a blast. This was only my second experience with Mountain Biking so we had to go on a pansy trail. I am sure it wasn't super exciting for Mike but I think we still had fun.

Last weekend we went out on Troy and Cheyanne's boat. Clayton and Kelsey came as well. We had a blast out on good old Utah Lake. The water was super choppy so we kinda just ended up tubing the entire time. Nice good relaxing time with good friends.

Last night we went to a BMX Jam that was put on by Fuzzy Hall in his backyard. The Dew Tour is this week so all of the Pro's are in town, so they came and rode. The riders were by invitation only so we got to see some pretty amazing stuff up close and personal. And amazingly enough none of the riders were hurt. I was just waiting for something to happen. I am like ruined from the whole heel thing with Mike. I am a paranoid freak now! It was a lot of fun. We even got to sit right behind the girl that was interviewing all of the guys for Fuel TV. We sat literally right behind her. Listened to all of her comments and watched all of the guys give their comments on the event. I think Mike was in heaven, accept when one of the riders kept checking me out. I think that kinda bothered him. ha ha All in all it was a great night. Away from school and away from work!

Every year my family tries to go to Bear Lake. Luckily this year we got to go! It has been about two years since we have been. We had a big heard this year that went. We had a blast though. Full of swimming in the freezing cold lake and running up and jumping in the pool or hot tub. I am pretty sure we all got fried though. But it is always a blast. We are all always beat once we get home. A few of my cousins and their families were up there as well so we got to see them and hang out with them on the beach. Fun filled weekend for sure!

We went to Yellowstone. It was a blast! We went up to Idaho for, my little brother, Tanner's baseball tournament. Once that was over we decided to make a short trip up to Yellowstone. We saw old faithful and lots of other gysers and hot pots. I had never been there so it was cool to get to see the stuff that we saw. We all had a lot of fun. And yes... mike was still on crutches and he it amazing and crutched his was around everywhere. He is the best!

Yesterday was Michael's birthday. Saturday we had a BBQ at the Lamb's house. Mike's friends Jon and his family and Brady and Kristen and Steve and their kids came to celebrate with Mike. It was a lot of fun. We just ate and hung out. For his birthday yesterday we just went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. He had a really happy 27th birthday!

Yesterday we went to the Hogle Zoo! Michael and I went with Mike's sister and her two little girls, Nev and Skylar and Mike's parents came as well. It was so fun! Nev totally has the entire zoo memorized. She loves the monkeys. She ran straight for the monkey building once we got there, screaming monkeys monkeys! I have never been to the zoo with little kids. Its the best. They were so excited to see the animals!

1st Anniversary

It was our first anniversary on June 6th! WOO! We made it! It has gone by so fast! We can't believe it. We went up and stayed the night at the Zermatt in Midway on Saturday night. We spent the day in Park City together and then went to the Spa at the Zermatt and we got a 90 minute couples massage. It was amazing! Then we went to dinner at the Mountain House Grill. It was such a fun weekend. So nice to get a weekend with just the two of us!

Surgery

Mikes surgery on his heel went very well. The doctor said there was a little more crushing than he originally thought but... a metal plate, some bone glue and nine screws later he is good to go. Well almost, still has to stay off of it for a few more weeks but he is doing well. Just glad he is okay.

Mike and his friends have been riding some dirt jumps on their bikes up at one of his friends houses in Lehi. We all went over one night for a BBQ and Mike had an accident. He was very high in the air, just about to do a really cool trick and his bike got away from him. Landed just right on his foot and busted his heel all up. We were in the ER for quite some time that night taking all kinds of Xrays and CT scans. All of the Doctors were very impressed. He was in a lot of pain. We just have to wait now for the swelling to go down so they can operate. They will have to put in a metal plate and a few pins. Surgery is set for Wednesday.

So... Due to the car accident I had the wonderful opportunity to yet again go car shopping. Let me just give you a little history. Right before Michael and started dating I bought a cute little red convertable bug. I loved it. I drove it for a year and once Mike and I got married we decided to sell it and get something bigger and more reliable. Then came the car shopping. We both always liked the Honda Elements so that is what we decided to get but... of course I have to have the most impossible color to find. Took us a while but we finally found one and we jumped on it. Drove that for about nine months and wrecked it. yay! Gotta love it. So here we were back to square one. After a lot of test driving and many headaches we found the Subaru Impreza. Cute eh?

I got in an accident on Tuesday on my way home from work. This is the result. I am okay. But as you can see... my car did not come out so good. Luckily it was not my fault so all is well. I will try to explain what happened. There was a car stopped at a stop sign and she did not see another car coming toward me in the opposite lane, she hit the back end of that car and sent the car spinning into on coming traffic and of course I was the one there, we hit head on. It was pretty intense and I was very very shook up afterward. It was my first accident, had to make it a good one I guess. I just thank heaven that I made it out of it okay. Just sore. Have a few bumps and bruises but I think I will be fine. If you see any Green Honda Elements for sale be sure to let me know!

Okay so... my cute husband got me a sewing machine for my birthday. I sewed a little with it and then i just kinda got feeling bad because I hadn't used it much so i found this neat little book that has all kinds of patterns and cool stuff in it to sew for your house. It had this quilt in it. I thought oh that won't be bad... it was totally hard! ha ha It took me a good three months to do. But it is done and I am so proud of it! I felt so accomplished once I was done. So here it is. I just had to share it with everyone.

My little sister, Kenzy is an amazing artist! She has always been so good at it. She is a Senior this year at American Fork High School and one of her paintings that she did was put in the Springville Museum of Art. We all went to see it last night. We went to Akumal Mexico. It is just below Cancun. We went with Michael's work. His boss Aaron took all of the management and their spouses. We had such a blast. We got to stay in this great house right on the beach. It was such an amazing vacation. Very well needed. We sat on the beach and swam in the ocean everyday. We also got to go see a few Mayan Ruins. That was so cool. I recommend that to anyone. Very interesting. We also got to go over to the Island of Cozumel. We rented some scooters there and rode around the island and hung out. Such a great vacation.

All of Mikes companies franchise's come into town for a week in February every year for what is know as the "Franchise Retreat". Thursday night Michael and I drove up to Park City and stayed in the condo with Matt and Aaron. Friday morning they had a big meeting with all of the franchisees. I went shopping. ha ha then friday afternoon we went snowmobiling. It was so much fun! We had a blast! Mike loves it. He goes nuts every time we go snowmobiling. He is like a kid on Christmas! Then Friday night, one of the franchisees made everyone dinner. It was so good! We had to drive home that night and it was snowing so so hard! It took us a good two hours to get home! We had to drive so slow! Then Saturday we didn't go up until that evening for the big dinner at Zoom. That was about the conclusion. It was a very full very busy weekend. We had alot of fun.

On Thursday my work had a hair cutting competition. It was up in South Jordan. It was against all Sport Clips in Utah and Idaho. I decided I would compete since the prize is good money. Who doesn't need money these days? So I did it. I cut our friend Luke's hair. Mike came up and supported me. We had fun. We haven't gotten the word on who won yet though.

On January 24th all of Mike's family got together for the annual Soup Party. It basically is just a family reunion or a birthday party for their grandpa. It is always fun. so. this week is going to be absolutely nuts. Welcome to the Christmas season right? incase you didn't know, Michael and i both work full time and Mike goes to school full time in the evenings. Needless to say... we don't see much of each other. Finals are coming up and This week Mike has prep Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. We also have my work Christmas party on tuesday and Michaels work party and my birthday on friday and my family christmas party on saturday. What a freaking week! It makes me tired just thinking about it. It should be fun though. I just almost think all of the christmas parties arent worth the trouble. But it will all be fine and be over before we know it right!?

On Friday the 14th of November, Michael and I took Nev to Disney on Ice with Kristen and Diane and Skylar. She was being very shy. There were some girls dressed up like the Princesses and we kept trying to get her to go over to them to take a picture. She would walk up to them and just put her hands over her mouth and just get so excited and turn around and be shy. It was the cutest thing ever. She loves Cinderella.
